The Humane alliance has expanded its service area into 23 different counties through a transport system. The transport system works to increase spay/neuter availability in the communities with the most severe pet overpopulation problems. Our transport unit operates Monday through Friday providing pick-up and delivery to patients with the supervision assistance of a local humane organization.
The success of the transport service is due to the efforts of the animal welfare organizations involved. Each group that is part of the transport coalition has pledged to end pet overpopulation through spay/neuter and aggressive rescue and adoption.
The following is a list of the humane agencies, groups and organizations that the Humane Alliance proudly salutes as working to end pet overpopulation through our spay/neuter transport:
Alexander Animal Action League
Animal Rescue and Foster Program
Asheville City Animal Services
Buncombe County Animal Control
Cashiers Highlands Humane Society
Community Partnership for Pets
