Three Spay Virginia Regions – Southwest, Shenandoah Valley and South Central plan to open spay/neuter clinics during the coming year. Humane Alliance, an Asheville, NC – based spay/neuter clinic will partner with Spay Virginia to make this possible. Humane Alliance currently operates an extraordinarily successful three-veterinary clinic in the Western North Carolina Mountains. The clinic works with 32 organizations in 20 surrounding counties and transports animals from those counties to the clinic for surgery. The euthanasia rate has dropped in the county where Humane Alliance is located by over 40%, and it has begun to drop in many of the other counties as well.
