For Pet Owners

We provide a free transport system in addition to our local public services. This service is provided for 39 non-profit animal welfare organizations in 23 counties. The unit picks up scheduled patients at a pre-arranged location which is supervised by a local humane organization. The patients are brought to our facility for surgery and returned to the drop-off location the next day.

Our safe, climate-controlled vehicles are operated by highly skilled and dedicated Humane Alliance employees. You are welcome to call our office to ask any questions about the transport process.

If you are interested in having your pet transported to our clinic, please contact your local humane organization to ask about the Humane Alliance spay/neuter transport schedule.

For NSNRT Members

We provide a free transport system in addition to our local public services. It is an effective and innovative service that has been implemented through the coordinated efforts of many talented people. The transport system accommodates delivery of pets from rescue organizations, shelters, and residents to our facility for sterilization. This service is provided for 39 animal welfare organizations in 23 counties in Western North Carolina.

Our transport unit is operated Monday through Friday. The unit picks up scheduled patients at a pre-arranged location which is supervised by a local humane organization. The patients are brought to our facility for surgery and returned to the same location the next day.

These groups have a five-year demonstrated history of cooperative participation with the clinic. The organizations have, and do, provide comprehensive programs that support adoption, guarantee comprehensive medical treatment, transfer animals from animal control agencies, create foster home networks, and promote an aggressive spay/neuter component. By 1996 mandatory pre-adopt sterilization was one common goal of animal welfare organizations within Western North Carolina. The participating organizations have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist in the cost of spay/neuter since 1995. The endeavors of these organizations resulted in 21,226 sterilizations and more than 9,800 adoptions in 2004.
