Description: The Bend Spay+Neuter Project is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician for part time or full time $17-$19 hourly rate DOE. There are also opportunities to participate in MASH clinics at the Warm Springs Reservation and monthly feral cat clinics. High volume experience is a plus. Ideal candidate would have excellent technical, communication, and leadership skills, is able to multitask, takes initiative, works well with a team, and can handle a fast-paced work environment.

Specific job duties include:
• Ensure the safety of pets, clients and co-workers by utilizing safe, low-stress restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized anesthetic/surgical areas
• Safely administer anesthetic drugs and intubate patients per clinic policies, ensuring the safety of all patients while under the effects of anesthesia
• Ability to safely operate anesthetic machines, oxygen equipment, and patient monitoring equipment
• Administer vaccinations and microchips as needed to surgical patient
•Follow protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and prevention of disease spread
Maintain accurate daily drug log for each patient
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Complete weekly supply order requests within budget
• Provide direction to Veterinary Assistant and utilize the position to maximize efficiency and safety
